When do you or your children have the opportunity to get up close and personal with exotic animals like the African Spotted Leopard, the European Eagle Owl, or the American Alligator? On Tuesday, July 9th at 10:30am, Wild World of Animals' traveling wildlife show will bring the animals to you in a fast paced, entertaining and educational program on the HARMAN Stage. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased online at www.SCAlive.org. The show is made possible through the generous support of our Arts Education Presenting Sponsors F. D. Rich, Trump Parc Stamford, Purdue Pharma and RFR Realty and through a grant from the Vince and Linda McMahon Family Foundation.

The show features a variety of animals -- reptiles, birds and mammals -- including: American alligator, alligator snapping turtle, albino monocle cobra, reticulated python, European eagle owl, blue and gold macaw, opossum, binturong, spot-nose guenon (monkey) and an African spotted leopard or hyena. It is originally scripted and is full of laughs. Animal handlers involve volunteers from the audience as well, and the show is a wonderful balance of education and entertainment.

"Wild World of Animals will be a fantastic show for children and adults alike," said Palace Theatre Executive Director, Michael E. Moran, Jr. "It's entertaining and educational, and it demonstrates that a background in the arts can take you anywhere, including a traveling wildlife show. In that way, the show is a perfect addition to our arts education programs this summer."

Tickets for Wild World of Animals can be purchased at www.SCAlive.org or charged by phone with major credit cards by calling the Palace Box Office at 203-325-4466. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Palace Theatre box office in downtown Stamford, CT. The box office is open Monday-Friday from 10am to 6pm. The 2012-2013 season is made possible by Palace Theatre's Season Sponsors Seaboard Properties, Inc. and the Whittingham Family.
