The Hartt School Presents HAMLET Thru 2/26

The Hartt School presents William Shakespeare's great tragedy Hamlet Sunday, February 26, at 3:00 PM.  Performances are in the Kent McCray Theater at the Mort and Irma Handel Performing Arts Center, 35 Westbourne Parkway, Hartford.  Please call the University Box Office at 860.768.4228 or 800.274.8587 or visit www.hartford.edu/hartt for tickets and up-to-date scheduling information for all performances.  Admission is $20 with discounts for seniors, students, and groups. 

This great Shakespearean tragedy tells the story of revenge, loyalty, and fate.  After Hamlet's uncle Claudius marries his mother Gertrude, Hamlet fears Claudius has murdered his father, the former King of Denmark. Hamlet soon becomes obsessed with this idea that his father was murdered and his mother was unfaithful. Hamlet's obsession results in pain and death for those closest to him. 

Hamlet is directed by former Hartt Dean and University Professor Malcolm Morrison, with incidental music by Hartt Composition student Jesse Brown.
