Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT), the professional producing arm of the Department of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, opens its Nutmeg Summer Series with the rock musical, Rent, running May 27 through June 6 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre (Lower Jorgensen). The preview performance takes place on May 27 at 7:30 p.m. , and Opening Night is May 28 at 8 p.m.

Nutmeg Summer Series subscriptions still available. CRT is offering four productions in the Nutmeg Summer Series between May 27 and July 4, 2010 - its first full summer season since 2002. Rent is followed by All in the Timing, a comedic collection of six one-act plays; the song-and-dance spectacular, Smokey Joe's Café; and Endurance, a world premiere play presented by movement theatre artists, Split Knuckle Theatre. Subscription package options range from $36 to $84.
