Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe-nominated star, Matthew Morrison, best known as the perpetually optimistic high school teacher Will Schuester on Fox TV's "Glee," will perform at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts' Belding Theater Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Now a household name, the Southern California native was turning heads years earlier on the Great White Way. So it only seems appropriate that Morrison's upcoming album is a collection of standards, many first made famous in Broadway musicals. The project is set to be released by Maroon 5 frontman and Voice coach Adam Levine's 222 Records in 2013.

Join Matthew and his incredible orchestra for an evening of standards and holiday music at The Bushnell. This special night will be documented by Connecticut Public Television for future airings on PBS starting this Spring. This is his only upcoming scheduled appearance on the East Coast this year.

Tickets are priced at $30.00/$45.00 and will be available starting this Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10 a.m. in person at The Bushnell box office, by phone at (860) 987-5900 or online at bushnell.org.

Matthew Morrison received a Tony nomination for his role in the Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific. It was at Lincoln Center where he also created the role of Fabrizio in the musical The Light in the Piazza, for which he was also nominated for a Tony Award. His other Broadway credits include A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Show and Footloose. He appeared off-Broadway last summer in the musical 10 Million Miles at the Atlantic Theatre Company. His TV and film credits include Dan In Real Life, Marci X, Primary Colors, Numb3rs, Ghost Whisperer, CSI:Miami, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Once Upon A Mattress.
