Two of the stars from the highly-acclaimed ABC television show Modern Family will be appearing at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Artson Sunday, October 21 at 7 p.m. Tickets ($35.50/$45.50/$55.50) go on-sale Monday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at bushnell.org, 1.860.987.5900, or at The Bushnell Box Office. Jesse and Eric’s portrayal of a gay couple has helped establish them as a role model for gay couples nationwide. Their portrayal led to Modern Family receiving a GLSEN Respect Award for "positive images and storylines that reflect a diverse America, including the depiction of a family headed by a gay couple." Television viewers from all backgrounds can identify with the various characters of the show, and their tumultuous, complicated, and comedic relationships.
Modern Family has received impressive accolades including a Golden Globe Award, multiple Emmy Awards, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Eric Stonestreet is also the recipient of an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
