Colon-Zayas, Frieder & Kussack Join Waterston in Long Wharf's HAVE YOU SEEN US?, 11/24 - 12/20

Liza Colon-Zayas, Sol Frieder and Elaine Kussack will join Sam Waterston in the world premiere of Athol Fugard's Have You Seen Us?, taking place at Long Wharf Theatre from Nov. 24 to Dec. 20.

Henry Parsons (Waterston) comes in to a mall diner for his usual-a turkey sandwich-and insulting banter with Adela, the Mexican-American waitress. The two creep toward a fragile understanding until Solly and Rachel, an eastern European Jewish couple, sit down to eat. The couple's entrance forces Henry to a reckoning with the indelible remains of his past; and, for a moment, unites four lost souls.

Colon-Zayas will play the role of Adela. She has most recently been seen in the LAByrinth Theater Company production of Othello, in addition to a host of theatre, film and television credits. Frieder, in his long career, has worked with Henry Fonda, George C. Scott, Olivia DeHavilland andWoody Allen, as well as having performed Brecht's Three Penny Opera in the original German.Kussack appeared in the original Broadway productions of Fiddler on the Roof and The Flowering Peach.

Liza Colon-Zayas
Adela
Ms. Colon-Zayas has been a member of the LAByrinth Theater Company in New York City since 1992. She's appeared in numerous shows there including the original productions of In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, Our Lady of 121st Street, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, and The Little Flower of East Orange, all written by Stephen Adly Guirgis and directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. She received a Lucille Lortel nomination for her performance in Living Out. Her solo show, Sistah Supreme, produced by performance artist Danny Hoch, had a summer long run at The First Hip-Hop Theater Festival. Liza toured Europe in The Story of A Soldier and Othello, both directed by Peter Sellars. Film credits include Righteous Kill, Taking Chance, United 93, Freedomland, Unfaithful. Television: "Nurse Jackie," "Rescue Me," "House," "Law & Order," "Hope & Faith," "Sex & the City," "Law & Order S.V.U.," "Third Watch," and "New York Undercover."

Sol Frieder
Solly
 Mr. Frieder returns to Long Wharf Theatre, last appearing in Denial. His      Broadway credits include Cabaret (with Lotte Lenya), Fiddler on the Roof  (with Paul Lipson), In The Counting House (with Sidney Chaplin), A Gift of  Time (with Henry Fonda and Olivia DeHavilland), The Wall (with George C.  Scott) and The Three Penny Opera (in the original German). Among his  many Off-Broadway credits include The Primary English Class, Endgame,  Uncle Vanya, The Man With The Flower in His Mouth, Song of Songs, The  Apollo of Bellac and any productions with the American Jewish Theatre.    Regionally, Mr. Frieder performed in The Diary of Anne Frank, The Price, and  God of Vengeance, among many others. His film and television appearances  include Love and Death; Crimes and Misdemeanors; I.Q., "The Doctors,"  "The Defenders" and "The Naked City."

Elaine Kussack
Rachel
Ms. Kussack appeared in the original Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof and The Flowering Peach. Her Off-Broadway credits include Over The River and The Fishkin Touch. Regionally, Ms. Kussack performed in The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, Fiddler on the Roof, Meet Me In St. Louis, The Ginger Man, Kiss Me Kate, Regina, Riverwind, Little Mary Sunshine, The Three Penny Opera, and Over The River. Her numerous television credits include "The Good Wife," "Sex in the City," "Law and Order: SVU," "Hope and Faith," "Ugly Betty," "The Jimmy Fallon Show," and "Saturday Night Live." Her film appearances include Dressed to Kill, Arthur, Ghost Town and the upcoming A Little Help.

Sam Waterston

Mr. Waterston's portrayal of District Attorney Jack McCoy, in Law & Order earned three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series, the 1999 Screen Actors Guild Award, a Screen Actors Guild nomination in 1998 and a Golden Globe nomination in 1995. He received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for The Killing Fields, three Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award for I'll Fly Away, and Golden Globe nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Most Promising Newcomer for playing Nick Carraway in The Great Gatsby. He was awarded an Emmy as host of the ten-part NBC informational series Lost Civilizations, and, in England, has received numerous BAFTA nominations. Waterston's film credits include Woody Allen's films Interiors, Hannah and Her Sisters and Crimes and Misdemeanors, John Waters' Serial Mom, Hopscotch and Heaven's Gate; The Glass Menagerie with Katharine Hepburn, and Eagles Wing with Martin Sheen and Harvey Keitel. He also starred in Rancho Deluxe, Man in the Moon, The Commission and Le Divorce. On television, he played "Oppenheimer" in mini-series of the same name, produced and starred in the cable movie A House Divided, and portrayed Abraham Lincoln in the television mini-series, Lincoln. Waterston also starred in The Matthew Shepard Story. Waterston earned a Tony Award nomination as Lincoln in Abe Lincoln in Illinois at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York, and an Obie Award and a Drama Desk Award for his "Benedick" in Much Ado About Nothing. His stage work includes the New York Shakespeare Festival productions As You Like It, Cymbeline, Measure for Measure and Hamlet. Waterston also played James Tyrone in Eugene O'Neill's Long Day's Journey into Night, with his son James as Edmund at Syracuse Stage. Waterston starred in the world premiere production of David Rabe's The Black Monk at the Yale Rep. Waterston returned to The Public Theater's Shakespeare in the Park in a reprise production of Much Ado About Nothing, portraying "Leonato" opposite his daughter, Elisabeth.
